Modifications: Engine: Intimidator "cone type" air filter. New spark plugs, rotor, and wires. I also replaced some old belts and hoses for new ones.
Body: Saleen spoiler (Custom attached), Headlight lamps (Center and inside lamps), Blue halogen bulbs, New paint (Silver Platinum Mist), Windshield wipers, Hood pins, and some fake symbols to confuse people. most body trim repainted.
Interior: White face gauges, New shifter knob, Grant steering wheel, racing petals, 4 point racing seat belts, and repainted the dash face and center column. Hide-away style audio deck and profile speakers, MTX amp. Two profile 12 inch subs in custom built box in the trunk, wit separate MTX amp. Tear down and clean entire inside (seats, rear seats, floor mat, doors, under the dashboard, and inside the center column), moon roof installed with a new headliner, "race style" 4-way mirror, and sun visors removed.
Suspension: 18x9 Cobra 2000 wheels with 245/45zr-18 96w Continental sport contact tires.
Description: I got this car from my Dad, who had owned it from its very beginning. He drove it till about 1994 where it was put out onto the side street for about seven years. A few months before my 17th birthday he said if I wanted the car... it was mine. So I said sure why not, the only cars I have ever worked on were a 1992 Mustang, 1993 Mustang LX, and a 1998 Mustang Cobra. All owned by my brother. I would just sit around and get him the parts he needed, never really working on the cars. When I started to tackle my new 88 bird I tripped over my own feet... I didn't know a thing about this car! But... many books later I learned every inch of my new car and began work. 4 months later I'm about 3/4ths of the way done. You can see the Mods above. Only 17 and working alone... I'm pretty pleased with the way things are going. As long as only one thing breaks just as I'm done replacing the other thing that broke the week before... I will have her running... and running hard. I still need to replace and upgrade some things. I need a new exhaust system. The pipes on it now have many holes even before the muffler. I would also like to get some more boost out of my turbo... I only seem to get about 12 to 13 PSI on full throttle, and I want new rear end gears. It's a turtle off the line. (maybe caused by the holes in the exhaust pipes) As for looks... I'm going for that... drag car look. I installed hood pins, got rid of the hood latches, and added a spoiler. I already have my hands on some new decals. It's a tear design, blue, and starts just before the front wheel and ends at the rear window. I also plan on adding a pair of racing seats, shocks and struts soon. Overall she is a great car... corners well, handles great, and has a good top end range. Plus she loves the local rice. (Even without a proper exhaust system!)
